Commercial Fall Winterization
Winterizing sprinkler systems is necessary in freezing climates, even for supposed self-draining systems. Removing the water from all of your pipes helps you avoid costly spring repairs.
A Fall Winterization consists of:
- Water is shut down to the system
- All drains are opened
- Air is pumped through the lines to clear out all the water. This is done by using a compressor
- Clock (timer, controller) is turned off to prevent winter damage
We offer two types of Fall Winterization.
Outside:
- Customer turns off water to the sprinkler system
- Automatic Rain will blow all the water out of the outside pipes with a compressor.
- Automatic Rain will turn off the outside valves and pipes
- Customer is responsible for draining the inside faucet, if applicable. If there is an inside drain, it will be located close to the shut off valve
- Customer is responsible for turning off the clock/timer for the winter
Complete Winterization (outside & inside):
Automatic Rain is fully responsible for winterizing your system and will warrant any freeze damage that might occur.
